We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology Team as a Telecommunications Billing Analyst.

Reporting to the Manager, Telecom Expense Management, the Telecommunications Billing Analyst is responsible for processing telecom invoices and analyzing operating expense trends. The Analyst will also assist in managing orders and disconnects of telecom services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate technical, financial and business analysis and validation of billing, invoicing and telecom inventories accuracy.
  • Responsible for the relationship with telecom expense management vendor and facilitating the processing of invoices into an upload file for the accounts payable department.
  • Validate contract terms against SLAs and billing and manage disputes.
  • Responsible for creation of PO requests and reconciling open PO reports.
  • Responsible for the monthly review of department operating budget.
  • Prepares statistical tracking of telecommunications service costs, services including wire line and mobility, for operating unit trending analysis.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on changes and orders of telecom.
  • Monitors service providers (carriers) for new product offerings, including pricing schedules.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation.
  • Reviews existing telecom services for opportunities to reduce costs through the removal of excess or inappropriate services.
  • Identifying opportunities for contract negotiations and identifying errors or omissions in billing.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and across teams to achieve the completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of telecom billing analysis experience preferred.
  • Experience monitoring service providers (carriers) preferred.
  • Ability to maintain large amounts of detailed data.
  • Decision support/Data Analysis experience.
  • Experience in producing management reporting.
  • Experience managing data validations and exception reporting.
  • Must have solid computer skills with heavy emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Experience in best practices for Telecom Environment Management a plus.
  • Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with limited direction and ability to understand and complete delegated tasks with superior customer-focused quality.
  • Should possess experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with the ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment.
