We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team.

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating engaging content across our social channels and websites, which represent our purpose of caring for people: our patients, their families and one another. The successful candidate will be fluent in AP style writing, know the latest digital/social trends and continually seek out new ways to drive communication and engagement. Having a strong sense of caring and understanding how to communicate with people of all backgrounds are important to success in this role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively create social communications; write clear and persuasive copy pushed out across websites and on all social media platforms (e.g. Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, and more).
  • Research new and engaging angles regarding trending topics, write compelling social and marketing copy that delivers positive, measurable results on engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends across all relevant platforms, to ensure the use of best practices and find new opportunities to communicate information.
  • Strategize opportunities to utilize new and existing content on our websites, social media and through affiliate channels.
  • Work with social media management tools and utilize data from web traffic tools (e.g. use web analytics to track social actions) to evaluate top performing content across our markets to leverage best practices and produce similar content.
  • Monitors and responds for all social channels as needed.
  • Cross-trained in the responsibilities of all social media team roles to provide support as needed.
  • Reports to Social Media Manager and works alongside the Content Marketing Specialist(s) and the Social Community Specialist(s).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field is preferred
  • Journalism background and experience with television or newspaper writing is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.) with known monitoring including daily monitoring, posting, and content development
  • A minimum of (2) years of social media experience on a cross-functional team
