Division EPIC Training Manager, Project Management

Additionally, Ardent has embarked on a complete install of Epic for its electronic health record (EHR) system in all of its hospitals with the first of its hospitals launching the system in the summer of 2017. The Division Epic Training Manager will support training for all Epic applications throughout the Americas Division and applicable partnering divisions. The Division Epic Training Manager will be responsible for the delivery of training on Epic software. The Division Epic Training Manager is expected to drive the quality and consistency of the training staff, overseeing all Epic Credentialed Trainers (CTs) and the Division’s Super User Program. The Division Epic Training Manager will recruit, train, mentor and supervise all CTs and Super Users involved in Epic training.

The Division Epic Training Manager will also manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects and their affiliated scope. The Division Epic Training Manager will adhere to all ITS Training Project Management Guidelines. This includes developing an appropriate vision, expectations, communications, and execution of any assigned projects.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to maintain work plans, issues list, decision lists, risks and status reports.

• Tracks and reports team duties and expenses on a weekly basis.

• Facilitates Credentialed Trainer and Super User meetings.

• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superior.

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner according to the Ardent/HHS Training Project Management Guidelines.

• Ensure that all members of the Epic Training team maintain project documentation on the appropriate network site or other document repositories.

• Coordinates and balances skills along with strengths and weaknesses of Epic training team members when making assignments. Looks for opportunities to develop the project management skills of the junior members of the Epic training staff.

• Communicate upward, downward and laterally within the HHS organization.

• Keeps the Epic Training staff well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.

• Management of up to 5 direct reports as well as dotted line responsibility for Super Users.

• Interviews, selects, hires, and retains employees.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

• At least two years’ experience in Epic training or knowledge of Epic training.

• Work experience may not substitute for minimum education requirement.
