Hillcrest Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 620 beds and just under 2,000 employees located in Tulsa, OK. This hospital is a part of Hillcrest HealthCare System which includes 8 hospitals and over 6,000 employees and is owned by Ardent Health Services. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Ardent’s subsidiaries own and operate 30 hospitals in six states with more than 25,000 employees including 1,150 employed providers.

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic leader to join Hillcrest Medical Center as an Associate Chief Nursing Officer.

The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) ensures that patient care services are in compliance with nursing standards, federal and state regulations. The ACNO provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff.  The ACNO is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement. The ACNO will implement change, establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians, and analyze financial data to ensure proper allocation of resources. The ACNO acts as an extension of the CNO at all times.

Essential Functions

  • Develops strategic plan for nursing including mechanisms to ensure uniform quality and adherence to standards.
  • Leads the design and implementation of assigned business plans.
  • Creates a continuous improvement environment promoting patient care.
  • Measures actual budgetary performance against standards and ensures variances are within established targets.
  • Collaborates with executive hospital management as a key member of medical and planning committees.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in progressive leadership roles within a healthcare system.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. 
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing and/or related field, preferred.
  • Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
